3 Stars Of The Week: 09/26-10/02

We had four teams kick off their season, three of them being the teams' first game ever.

The Tilbury Bluebirds took down the Delhi Flames in both teams' debuts by a score of 7-0 in a game that, despite the high score, was a goaltending showcase. Kodie Ouedevoshaar of the Delhi Flames was peppered, but looked up to the task, turning away 44 shots on net and breaking up several more scoring chances, in the other crease, Ryan Polidori turned away every shot he faced, earning the league's first shutout of the year, as well as Tilbury's first shutout in franchise history.

The Elora Rocks showed why they're the champs, blowing out the Erin Blitz by a score of 15-2. While the Rocks spread the scoring around, Chad Herron put himself in the right places with the puck on his stick, and lit up Erin for 5 goals and 2 assists, being an easy choice for first star.
